[16/01/2012] Pearse delays affecting all through services

Platform 1 closed due works, all trains by platform 2. Big delays on all trains passing through, 2310 Maynooth departing 17 minutes late. Platform displays showing northbound trains on platform 1 and southbound on platform 2.

22:25 - Bray to Howth (9 mins late) Departed Harmonstown next stop Raheny

23:10 - Dublin Pearse to Maynooth (16 mins late) Arrived Tara Street next stop Dublin Connolly

Yep, that must have been the train that passed through just before the Maynooth did. There was an annoouncement made but the PA system in Pearse is completely unintellegible, passengers just shouted "what?" after it.

Something has to be done about the pa system at pearse. In the times i have been at pearse there must have been about 2 dozen announcements over the pa system at pearse but every one of them was inaudible.
