Cycle Tracks

Has anyone heard of a motion to switch some of the disused lines into cycle lanes? Seems a good idea where there's no intention of re-opening the line.

I believe it was proposed for the Waterford-Dungarvan line.

It's already happened in some places too e.g. The Timoleague-Courtmascherry section of the Cork, Bandon and South Coast railway.

A fantastic idea. Maybe it could be put in place in Fenit as well, or is that possible?
