Am as frustrated as everyone else here on the lack of correct information on trains, especially the front destination signage.

Just wondering what has the response from IE being? Would it help to take photographs of the offending trains? The media have any interest in this?

This issue has been taken up with several IE managers

Success in some places http://www.platform11.org/successes/#ontraininfo. The 29000 railcars Dublin Sligo/Rosslare/Portloaise/Athy was solved last Feb after we complained. The new Dublin Cork train has some issues again there where solved within two weeks. The DART pis software was redone twice shortly after we complained

As you may have seen there is a new map for the Dublin area that came about since we annoyed someone in IE over the last 10 months it wasn't until we got a leaked copy of the map that we embarrased IE into action http://www.platform11.org/news/news.php?year=2006&no=21.html

Problem is very few people actually report in a missing destination display or what ever which means we have little to work from we have a thread for this http://forum.platform11.org/showthread.php?t=54 We need specific information without that IE claim once off an ignore it

Photos are handy if the destination is crazy what is more important is front coach/last coach on the xx:xx from y had a on the display istead of b

In reality its not earth shattering issue, it doesn't effect overcrowding etc but it shows the lack of attention to detail in IE which is carried over into other areas where it has a real negative impact in terms of bad timetabling and operations

If this was the UK IE would be liable to a fine of up to 10% of turnover since this falls under accessibilty
