Hi guys,

I was just wondering what the most simple method of travelling to Blackrock from Sallins is, am I right in saying it'll be a train to heuston, bus to connolly then a dart to blackrock?

Thanks!

Brian

2 ideas for you.
I travel Newbridge to Landsdown road.
Train Heuston, then get 90 feeder or luas to abbey street, then walk across to Tara( far to long getting around Connolly to the dart platforms).
or
my preferred method and much quicker.
Cycle to local station, bring bike on train to heuston,
cycle to Blackrock

Huggyberry, are you serious? Heuston to Blackrock is quite a cycle ride: I'd hate to do in wet weather. Also do they allow cycles on commuter trains?

Officially not. Enforcement is nonexistent however.

Folding bikes (folded and preferably covered) are allowed on any train.

Intercity trains can carry 2-6 bikes for a fare of €2-12.

Any bike can be carried on a commuter train off-peak.

Hueston to Blackrock would roughly take 1/2 an hour,
Unfortunately the time I travel in the morning, 2 trains terminate and do a 3 point turn in Pearse, so im waiting 20 minutes there alone, this happens quiet allot. So a 20 minute cycle to Lansdowne suits me. Plus I have shower facilities.

All trains except for the cork service(different Set) that service sallins, have bike racks as posted above.
