Iarnród Éireann supports Super Hero Fun Run in aid of the Children's Medical & Research Foundation

Everyone wants to be a super hero for a day, so this is your opportunity! The Children’s Medical & Research Foundation are holding their second annual Super Hero Fun Run in The Phoenix Park on Sunday, 8 May, 2011 and Iarnród Éireann are proud supporters.

All of the proceeds will go towards the general fund at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

Iarnród Éireann is giving a free rail trip to the event to every participant that raises over €500

The organisers are attempting to break the Guinness Book of Records (TM) for the most people dressed up as Superheroes in one venue.

The event consists of a 5K walk/run and all participants are asked to dress up in their favourite Super Hero costume in support of sick children.

There will be face painting in the morning for both young and old alike and Our Lady’s very own Clown Doctors will be on hand to assist with the warm-up prior to commencing the event.

Participants are welcome to walk, run, jog, crawl, push a buggy or teleport their way through the 5K course.

Each participant will receive a Super Hero medal, certificate and a goodie bag upon completion of the course.

The event is pre-registration only and the cost is €150/family and €100 per individual – all ages are more than welcome!! If you would like more information on this event please phone 1890 507 508 or log onto www.superherofunrun.ie for a registration form
