Out of service tram showing on information screen

Waiting.on a luas this evening at ballyogan and I had just missed a tram.

I looked at the information screen and it stated sandyford in 5 minutes so I thought grand ill go to sandyford since some trams go from sandyford.

Anyway the tram showed due on the board and the tram said out of service lights off etc and it didn't stop. The tram then disappeared off the screen

Anyway I was just wondering is it normal for out of service trams to show on the information screens?

Yes.

It's more of a late-night thing, when two trams are within a couple of minutes of each other. They are displayed as passenger services, but sometimes are out of service and head direct for the depot. So the best thing to do, is take the earlier of the two if possible, and "ask questions later".

I can understand that if there were two trams within a minute, but 5 minutes?
