Updated: 11:32, Friday, 8 April 2011
Transport, Tourism and Sport Minister Leo Varadkar has published ads in the national press seeking new board members for CIE and other State agencies.
The ads seek expressions of interest from 'suitably qualified and experienced persons' for non-executive positions on a variety of boards, including CIE, Dublin Bus and Iarnród Éireann.
The positions include the chairperson positions at CIE, Dublin Bus, Iarnród Eireann and the Railway Procurement Agency, as well as other vacancies arising over the coming year on other boards under Mr Varadkar's department.
'This is a real opportunity for suitably qualified and experienced people to shape the policy and direction of the important agencies under my Department,' the Minister said.
