From Friday evening 3rd December at 20.30hrs until close of business on Sunday night 5th December, infrastructure works will take place in the Limerick Junction area.

As a result, train services out of Heuston to and from Cork, Limerick and Tralee will operate between Heuston and Thurles stations only.

Onward services will be substituted by bus connections from Thurles to Limerick Junction, Limerick, Mallow (for Tralee) and Cork.

These Works will involve track renewal work and upgrading of the signalling system at Limerick Jctn.

Iarnród Éireann would like to apologise to customers for any disruption these essential works may cause.

There will also be service alterations as a result of these works to Mallow-Tralee line, Nenagh line, Limerick Junction-Waterford line, and Limerick to Galway line services, including revised departure times, and these details are also available from the above links.

Planned Engineering Works at Limerick Junction for next weekend Cancelled to ensure full services operate.

Planned engineering works at Limerick Junction for next weekend 3rd, 4th & 5th of December have been deferred until further notice due to the increased demand for rail services, and the probability of road disruption as the cold spell continues, and full services to Limerick, Cork, Kerry and Clare will now operate across this weekend.
