Ground Hog day again...
I was on the 07.12am Drogheda-Bray service, and while today we were not overly delayed in the 1 spot, we arrived 10 minutes late into Connolly.
Not a single piece of information from the driver. Nothing on the LED displays.
Again, as I was on the final carriage, there could have been something on the PA in Connolly, but the PA system only works for the top 4 carriages there.
Certainly nothing on the PA while we waited in Tara st and Pearse st.
Checked with Connolly information desk via phone when I arrived in work. Initially, they had no information on any delays. But I said I was looking at the real time information, and it was a screen of red till 10.30am. The travel alerts section was blank.
Turns out they had received a text from CTC to advise them that due to wheel slip, all Drogheda/Dundalk and Maynooth services could expect delays up to 25 minutes. (I also told them DARTs were running 20 mins late southbound, which they checked and agreed)
And as with yesterday, they agreed no one had bothered to tell the passengers.
Took my feedback, and said they would pass on the lack of information.
Checked the IE realtime arrivals 30 mins later. Showed every single southbound DART, Maynooth and Drogheda train delayed up to 20 mins. To be fair most were in the 10-15 min delays.
Still nothing on the IE travel alerts. Not sure about AA roadwatch.
