thought it would be worth mentioning that there is a new DART and commuter timetable from september 3rd 2010.

I'm sure you're wondering why, given the new timetable is for the new docklands/connolly m3 parkway services.

There are a number of Maynooth line services that are affected as a result. One of particular interest is the 16.53 maynooth wexford.

This has been pushed back to depart Maynooth at 17:00 in the new timetable and will depart connolly at 17:36 according to the new timetable - six minutes later.

Of course no sign of a change to the wexford timetable yet!

But did you notice that this train catches up on its old timings by the time it reaches Dun Laoghaire. In other words, Pearse to Dun Laoghaire will take six minutes less than before.

As it happens, that was one of the things I suggested in the timetable consultation - most of the trains to Wexford or Rosslare could leave five minutes later and still serve Dun Laoghaire at the same time. And now one of them will be doing that.
