At Iarnród Éireann, we want to continually improve the standard of our stations. As part of ongoing feedback we have received from you through the “Improve my Station” feedback on irishrail.ie, we have carried out actions based on your feedback.

As part of this station improvement programme we would like to invite you to answer a quick survey in relation to Dublin Heuston, Dublin Connolly, Waterford, Limerick, Cork, Galway, Sligo, Tralee and Rosslare.

We will analyse the results to benchmark against previous surveys carried out to see how we are doing.

- All responses are completely confidential.

- It should take only 5 minutes to complete.

Question 7 is mis-spelt! Lack of professionalism IMO.

My comments on Heuston

Make sure the doors between the concourse and the platforms close - many get stuck in the open position.

Remove the pigeons (and build-up of droppings) from the dining areas.

Better educate the ticket gate staff to technical problems with particular types of tickets.

Reduce the amount of queuing that goes on.

Reorientate the information office to include local travel and tourist information.

Improve the shelters at the bus and Luas stops and provide security in that area.

Allow the full range of tickets to be bought at the ticket machines.

PA at Heuston:
Auto announcements,"The train now standing ....." are usually clear.

Service announcements are by and large lacking in clear diction and can be, at times, difficult to follow, even on the concourse, and impossible on the platforms over the noise of many engines. This is important as there announcement often have crtical information such as platform changes, delays etc; thing people need to know.

Funny how they didn't see an opportunity to redirect completed respondents back to irishrail.ie. I know that surveymonkey allows you to do this.

And this has to be one of the least effective questionnaires I have ever seen from a company like IR.

Surveymonkey allows you to redirect only if you are subscribed; chances are they aren't due to cost-cutting.
