Online Tickets - when can I pick them up?

Hi all,

if I purchase a ticket today online, for the 09:30 Cork - Dublin train on Saturday next (20th Feb) can I pick up the ticket today (on my way home) or must it be on the day I travel, i.e. next Saturday?

You can pick them up as soon as you get the confirmation screen online.

Though leaving about 30 minutes between booking and collecting can help with the collection machines, if the machine doesn't know the booking office will be able to issue without any problems.

One other question...

If I book a ticket for someone else with my Laser card, but I pick up the ticket (with the other persons name on the ticket), is this possible? Or must the name of the person travelling also be on the Laser card?

I've collected a ticket booked for someone else with my card at the collection machine without a problem

Make sure you have the booking reference number, key that in if asked and it will print the tickets

If you insert a credit / debit card, it ask for the booking number.

You could steal someone's ticket by doing this, but they'd know it was you. :)
