Options

From Sligo / Maynooth line.

1. Get off at Drumcondra and get a bus 13a from outside the train station.

2. Get off at Drumcondra and get a bus 13 from Whitworth Road. Walk out of train station, turn right and turn right before canal. Use bus stop on canal side of road.

3. Get off at Drumcondra and get a bus 13 or 13a from Dorset Street Lower. Walk out of train station, turn right and cross the canal. Use bus stop on right side of road, i.e. use a bus approaching you.


From Dublin City Centre

Get a bus 4/a, 13/a from Dr. Quirkey's (Stop OF), O'Connell Street Upper

Get a bus 140 from Flanagans (Stop OD), O'Connell Street Upper or Colemans (Stop CD), Westmoreland Street (from Monday 12th October 2009)


From Pearse Station / Merrion Square

Get a bus 4/a, 13/a on Westland Row, opposite the station, under the railway bridge.


From Blackrock

Get a bus 4/a from Marks and Spencer, Frascati Road (Blackrock Bypass).

Unless it's changed recently, the 4 and 4A don't actually go into Ikea, they drop you outside which is about a 10 minute walk. The 13, 13a or 140 would be a better option if rain or carrying is likely.

That said, Dart to Howth Junction and 17a is also an option for people travelling from Howth, Malahide or the south side. The 17a drops you a little walk away or you could get the 13/13A the rest of the way.

In the Toronto (North York) store IKEA run a free shuttle to the nearest subway station ( < 1km)

Being the sort of store it is though (big flat pack boxes) never made sense to me to use public transport to get there.
