Broombridge was closed due to a criminal investigation following a 'tiger' kidnapping and subsequent robbery. Apparently the thieves threw their loot over the bridge and onto the track at Broombridge - why am I not surprised. IE should take this heaven sent opportunity to permanently close the station there.

yep i had a feeling when i heard cabra west linked to that robbery in the news and saw that irish rail travel alert that the two were linked.

I believe that broombridge is a station that should be long closed down but not before the genuine folk that use the line are catered for. After all its not a station with the lowest passenger numbers. There is far worse.
