What was the story with the early train from Sligo being cancelled this morning? I get it from Enfield at 07.50 and it was a no show. This service is getting worse and worse and is regularly late.

Could this be related to trains not getting serviced in Drogheda now after the bridge collapse?

Apparently the train broke down in Boyle. This is a joke, what is wrong with these new trains

There seems to quiet a few occasions that there have been problems with these trains on the Sligo line? And whats with the shorter trains? Is this confined to the sligo line? Have other lines been having the same kind of problems with these railcars? I know it was mentioned that the 16:40 Gorey train had a few problems

Breakdown on morning Sligo-Dublin train service
The Sligo to Dublin service has broken down for the second time in as many months leading to fears about the reliability of the new fleet.

The 5.45am service experienced a mechanical fault at Boyle this morning and was unable to continue on its journey to Dublin.

The latest breakdown follows an incident at Ballymote two months ago which meant many passengers experienced a delay of up to three hours.

However a spokesperson for Iarnród Éireann said that there is no problem with the Sligo to Dublin service.

He added that this morning’s incident was a mechanical fault which happens on all services from time to time.
